About
Marika Miklosi Manning is a textile artist and award winning feltmaker.
In her work she takes
inspiration from nature, its shapes, colours and textures, and is also influenced by imagined and
conceptual forms.
She combines pure wool, soft silks with hand and machine embroidery,
stitching and beading to produce beautiful and luxurious pieces of wearable art, sculptural and art
pieces.
Her line of accessories is called FineFibre. She has taken part in many national and international
exhibitions including the “21 st Century Icons” exhibition which showed in Dublin Castle as part of
Irelands European Presidency in 2013.
In 2010 she won 1st Prize Felting at the RDS National Crafts Competition.
She is a member of the Craft and Design Council of IreIand CRAFTed panel for schools.
